Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Body Lotion

So, the sun is officially out and so are the legs! As I am sure I have mentioned before, my legs do not tan. Even when the rest of me burns, they don't change colour. Some kind of inbuilt sunscreen I think. My shoulders and arms can get quite a good colour but my legs will remain forever white. Every winter I promise myself that I won't bother with fake tan next year, I will just be pale and interesting, and every year spring rolls around and so do all the ads full of girls with long, tousled, beachy hair and bronzed skin. And so my fake tan quest continues.

Being quite pale, it only takes a little mistake for me to be a streaky mess. This is why I love gradual tanning moisturisers. Killing two birds with one stone as they say. My favourite of all time has to be Dove's Summer Glow for fair to medium skin. I slapped it on last night after a bath and a scrub and woke up this morning to skin that doesn't quite glow in the dark. I think the reason I love it so much is that it lets you build up a tan gradually so you can see if you have made any mistakes and avoid doing the same the next time. I shall use it every night for a week and then see how I'm looking (hopefully not TOWIEesque).

Only thing is I do smell slightly of biscuits today... It's making me hungry. The Summer Glow range are currently on offer on Boots.com at the mo, which makes this a bargain £2.55 for 250ml.

  1. This looks like a great product! Although, I tried something similar a few years ago and I put it on my chest..and if I sweat and scratched that area, it the fake tan would come off as well! It looked so weird! But hopefully this one works for well you!

  2. Hi Deema,
I always give myself a good scrub with a decent body exfoliator first to stop any patcheyness! xx
